Position Scope:

The Project Coordinator, Finance Transformation will be an important contributor to OMERS' Corporate Finance transformation program.

Reporting to the Program Manager, this role requires a desire to learn, the ability to work in an agile setting, and a team-focused mentality.

This position provides opportunities to collaborate with Corporate Finance leaders and other transformation professionals across the enterprise. This role is important to ensure smooth Project delivery and the organization of multiple workstreams and deliverables.


Role Responsibilities:

Provide project management support including weekly status reporting, monitoring, project plan updates, meeting logistics, risk management, onboarding/offboarding external vendor resources, SharePoint administration, and meeting minutes documentation


Provide testing support for the project including:

  • Planning, coordinating and executing test cycles
  • Conducting and facilitating test status and defect meetings with project team members, key stakeholders, and senior management to track progress and defect resolution
  • Support the development of daily and summary test results reports, highlighting test coverage and outcomes
Support project documentation

Support workstream efforts leading up to go-live

Other contributions, as the team may need and as opportunities arise

To succeed in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent experience and qualifications

Outstanding record of leadership and academic, extracurricular, and professional achievement

2+ years of progressive experience working on large-scale, technology-dependent transformations

Experience with Project Management methodologies, techniques, and frameworks

Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing

Interpersonal agility and ability to connect with stakeholders

An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools, and an innate desire to learn, grow and develop


Bonus Experience/Qualifications:

Consulting or professional services experience

PMP, or in progress of obtaining certification

Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools (e.g., Jira, Octane) and practices

Project/Program Management

Pensions or Financial Services organizations
