Position Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and outgoing individual for the position of a Driver Check-In Associate.

This person is responsible for detailing the driver's manifest and matching bills to ensure the paperwork is compliant with Speedy and regulators.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Verify drivers' hours, miles, freight weight, paperwork, waiting time & accessorial charges.
  • Verify all details on BOL's and P.O.D's according to the manifest and maintain all OSD information.
  • Perform daily payroll department functions.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all Brokers payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile paperwork prior to submission to Payroll department.
  • Meet weekly Payroll deadlines.
  • Collect all C.O.D's.
  • Deal with drivers' discrepancies and ensure proper measures are followed by coaching and counselling.
  • All other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

  • Payroll experience in the Transportation Industry.
  • Geographical knowledge of GTA and south of the border for calculation of miles.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy required. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.
  • Ability to work in a highvolume environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
