is looking for a Draftsman to join our team We are an Oilfield Manufacturing Company that focuses on providing skid mounted Oil and Gas Processing Equipment to the Canadian and International Markets.


Responsibilities:


  • Create detailed AutoCAD drawings using Design information and experience.

Drawing types include, but are not limited to:

PFDs, P&IDs, Pressure Vessels, Non-pressure Equipment, Base Skids, Structural, Ladders, Platforms, Piping General Arrangements, Piping Isometrics, 3D equipment, 3D steel, and 3D Piping Models.


  • Responsible for producing and managing accurate fabrication drawings within a project.
  • Responsible for all aspects that affect a drawing from inception to fabrication completion. Producing equipment and structural drawings from design information that maintain code compliance and ensure no clashes, designing vessel internals, using Rushton standards for stock items, cut files for automated cutting, requesting components from purchasing, etc.
  • Present model reviews to clients with project team in a boardroom setting.
  • Modify existing designs to meet customer specifications.
  • Work with Project Managers from conceptual drawings.
  • Provide support to the drafting team, Engineers, Project Managers, Shop Personnel, and other Rushton teammates.
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data accurately.
  • Create accurate production drawings and bill of materials.
  • Knowledge of natural gas process systems and related equipment.
  • Prepare "as built" drawings of the finished product.
  • Conducting self in a Professional, Ethical manner at all times.
  • Assist with ongoing development and maintenance for company Standards & Processes.
  • Any other duties that may be required.

Requirements:


  • Diploma or Degree in Drafting from an accredited institution, or the equivalent combination of Technical Training and/or Professional Experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Manufacturing Environment working with Pressure Vessels, Piping, Instrumentation and Structural Steel.
  • Experience Drafting Oil and Natural Gas Oilfield Production Equipment, structures, and piping for a Fabrication Shop.
Technical drawings for Rushton drawing packages include, but are not limited to:
PFDs, P&IDs, Pressure Vessels, Non-pressure Equipment, Base Skids, Structural, Ladders, Platforms, Piping General Arrangements, and Piping Isometrics. Experience in all previously mentioned drawings is an asset.

  • Sound knowledge of ASME Section VIII, B31.3, Z662, B31.1 and B149.3 codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Ability to create designs and drawings that have the following features: adhere to regulatory codes, adhere to policies and procedures, safety, mechanically sound, meet process guarantees, accessible and functional, simple for ease of fabrication, cost effective, and any other aspects that provide a highquality product for our customers.
  • Proficient use of AutoCad, CADWorx, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • High attention to detail and very organized.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Previous experience with AutoCAD is mandatory.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40.0 hours per week.
