    About the Opportunity

    The Occupational Therapist plays a crucial role in helping patients achieve their optimal level of function. Working closely with clients, caregivers, and families, the OT focuses on self-care, productivity, and leisure. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment, consultation, and education both in the hospital and the community. The OT also collaborates with clients to set personalized treatment plans, manages a busy caseload, and provides support and education to clients and families. Join a dynamic interprofessional healthcare team and contribute to the clinical education of students and health disciplines.

    About You

    If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

    • Masters or Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy
    • Licensure with the provincial regulatory body, the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia
    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Commitment to promoting a culture of respect and safety
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Flexibility and adaptability
    • Competency in other languages, particularly French
