Shipping and Facilities Associate - 4 Month Contract

Who are we seeking to join our team?
The
Shipping and Facilities Associate is responsible for preparing and shipping routers, modems and other devices, maintaining documentation, receiving devices and materials, and assisting with warehousing as necessary.
On a day-to-day basis, the Shipping and Facilities Associate interacts with all internal departments, regarding the preparation of devices for use on customer premises, preforming Quality Assurance for these devices, as well as the refurbishing and programming of equipment as required.
You will contribute to the team by performing the following:
- Conduct and document regular facilities and building inspections
- Perform routine facility maintenance and other duties as assigned
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes
- Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
- Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
- Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize costeffectiveness
- Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers
- Manage contractor and vendor relationships
- Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met for all equipment
- Assure security of the facility
- Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
- Assist internal departments with various inquiries such as returned units, customer inquiries, follow up on status of shipped units, etc.
- Prepare routers, modems and other equipment for use on customer premises
- Perform Quality Assurance testing
- Perform upgrade, testing, and refurbishing and programming of devices
- Ship equipment and maintain the warehouse environment
- Maybe required to work evenings and weekends as requested by your Supervisor or in response to a service issue
What do you bring to the team?
- High School diploma and/or equivalent experience is required
- Strong communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Strong commitment to deadlines and work ethic taking accountability and ownership to overcome roadblocks to ensure Customer Promise Dates are met
- Ability to thrive in a challenging, demanding, and rapidly changing environment without close supervision
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with fellow team members, clients and other internal departments
- Flexibility to adapt and accept various tasks to ensure the overall team objectives are met
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to prioritize
Nice to Have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience/education in a technology related industry
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an customer service/warehouse role
