Job Summary


The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the efficient inflow and outflow of product, minimizing damages and product loss, ensuring inventory accuracy, and coordinating shipments, ordering supplies, and modifies product components.


Essential Functions

  • Respond to incoming requests from the Service or Install Coordinators for parts and automated entrance systems (swing and sliding doors), creating purchase orders and sales orders, checking inventory availability, picking/packing, and shipping items to the customer.
  • Assist with glazing sliding door panels when needed.
  • Create item receipts when shipments arrive at the branch.
  • Assist with issuing Sales Orders for distributor orders when needed.
  • Investigate and track inventory variances.
  • Respect effective inventory reorder points that align with overall branch needs.
  • Accountable for accurate and timely inventory cycle counts, biyearly physical counts and report quantity variances.
  • Order replenishment stock as well as materials required for pedestrian entrance system installations, including door hardware and glass.
  • Order power tools and hand tools as per the branch needs.
  • Issue vendor purchase orders when required.
  • Arrange product to maximize space use and organization.
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift.
  • Load/offload packages onto/from trucks by hand or with the use of a pump truck.
  • Receiving items from various couriers.
  • Package product with supplied packaging materials to minimize damage and loss.
  • Accurately labels boxes, attaching appropriate shipping documents.
  • Input and maintain inventory data in the inventory database.
  • Keep warehouse neat and clean.
  • Pick product as per job specification to have it ready for dispatching to Technicians.
  • Complete required forms for product returns.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Able to read and understand measuring equipment such as, tape measures, scales, decimals/fractions.
  • Fair communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Able to recommend alternative door components when requested component is unavailable.
  • Able to maintain positive relationships with associated vendors.
  • Dependable, responsible, and team oriented.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage perpetual inventory management practices such as minmax, LIFO, and Kanban.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

Education, Training, Experience
years of warehouse and inventory control and warehouse management experience.

  • Completion of secondary school or relevant combination of education and experience. Degree or diploma in supply chain logistics would be an asset.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Able to lift up to 75lbs, following all applicable safe lifting techniques.
  • Indoor warehouse working environment, temperature regulated.
