Description

Responsibilities
- performs site surveys to collect, analyze, and organize basic engineering data,
pole survey and measurement of various attachment heights, span distances, angles, etc... to assist the engineering team in developing design layouts and preparing all engineering documentation required for a completely functional design.
- collects aerial and topographical field data for pole line engineering.
- able to read and interpret municipal engineering drawings to identify missing data required for a field survey.
- prepares layouts and detail drawings with complex assemblies from notes, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed sketches.
- adheres to all health and safety guidelines.
- captures all measurements requested.
- perform all other duties as assigned in order to meet company objectives.


Requirements:

- must have a valid driver's license.
- must be willing to travel when required.
- ability to work in any and all weather conditions

  • Full understanding of topographical survey requirements
  • Knowledge of telecommunications outside plant infrastructure
- demonstrated professional oral and written communication skills
- ability to plan and organize to meet scheduled deadlines
- able to work in a team atmosphere

  • Previous experience in a surveyor's role is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
  • Experience with
    IKE pole survey equipment and software would be an asset.
  • A college diploma or higher in a relevant field is greatly preferred

Pay:
$25.00-$31.00 per hour


Expected hours:
per week

  • Monday to Friday
