Tera-Byte is looking to fill one permanent full-time position in it's network
operations centre. We are a full service network consulting and hosting
provider, supporting wireless ISPs across Alberta, and our own in-house web
- hosting services. We are responsible for monitoring and supporting wireless
and fibre based networks with customer support available 24/7 to end users.
We have been in business for over 20 years and pride ourselves on customer
service.

Job Duties

• Answering phones for support of residential and business internet customers

including:

• Technical support
• Billing support
• Signup and ordering of new services
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing connection issues of customer services
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing network issues of wireless and fibre networks
• Clearly Document account changes and diagnostic steps taken

Required Skills:

• Windows 10/1
• Basic Linux and FreeBSD
• Basic IP networking
• Able to work 12 hour shift
• Able to lift 40Lbs (Racking hardware, servers, etc)
• Basic computer hardware understanding (replacing components, building new systems, etc)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication

Additional Skills:

• Web development and troubleshooting skills such as PHP,HTML, JavaScript,

Python, etc

• Networking Skills, including L2/L
• Knowledge of Ubiquiti, Cambium and Mikrotik hardware an asset
• Knowledge of VMware or other Virtualization platforms

Schedule:

• 12 hour shifts
• 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 day weekends alternating

Work Location:

Downtown Edmonton or hybrid remote depending on shift organization
