Program Manager - Excluded Position -
PRINCE GEORGE

Reports to:
Executive Director


Salary Range: 1.0 FTE position


Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Will also require a shared on call schedule 1 out of 3 weeks in rotation which may require call outs


Job Summary:

Program Manager is responsible for the implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of the organization's programs in accordance with standards set out by the organization and funding bodies.

As a member of the management team, the Program Manager participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives in addition to problem solving.

They work within the guidelines, policies and mission of the organization and will be accountable and responsible for specific projects as assigned.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


Human Resource Management

  • Direct, plan and coordinate the clinical and administrative work of program staff including supervision and evaluation, training and team building.
  • Organize and attend weekly meetings to maintain effective communication internally and externally related to service delivery.
  • Ensure adequate and qualified staff to carry out program activities
  • In consultation with the Executive Director, responsible for the selection, hiring, coaching, training, and discipline of program employees.
  • To provide positive leadership to all staff, ensuring a team approach, professional attitude and good boardstaff relations, always modeling best practices.

Program Delivery

  • Responsible for the implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of all activities of the program in accordance with CMHA of Northern BC policies; accreditation standards and funders expectations.
  • Responsible to remain up to date with all changes in standards and policies and implement same in a timely and organized manner.
  • Responsible for the supervision and management of the data base CRMS in regards to program operations
  • Compile, maintain and report on the monthly, quarterly and annual program statistics.
  • Analyze trends in the program, identify issues and develop and recommend solutions to the Executive Director
  • Responsible for the intake process for clients and ensuring an excellent and coherent relationship between referral sources and CMHA PG.
  • Responsible for ensuring client services are delivered in a manner reflective of excellent goal management processes as well as trauma informed practices and psychosocial rehabilitation philosophies.
  • Establish and maintain all client files and documentation in an appropriate and accountable manner according to standards set by Northern Health and Imagine Canada accreditation.
  • To maintain appropriate fiscal controls to ensure all programs are within the scope of the annual budget.

Agency Management

  • In the absence of the Executive Director, to deal with the day to day operations of the organization including liaising with the board of directors.
  • To assist the Executive Director with the development of the agency budget and to monitor and be accountable for all program and service expenditures.
  • To monitor and complete appropriate reporting to funders
  • To advise the board about clinical programs and policies appropriate to the mandate of the agency
  • To be an active participant in the management team of the agency, attending meetings regularly and bringing forward issues for discussion and decision.

Other Related Duties

  • To participate on key committees as appropriate
  • To participate actively as an agency representative in collaborative partner networks and in related community activities
  • To identify learning needs for program and service staff and for the staff of the agency as a whole, and assist in providing needed training.

Qualifications:

University degree in social services or health promotion or a combination of relevant education and experience.

Proven supervisory experience in a mental health clinical setting

Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Ability to work flexible hours

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent computer skills

Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse needs

Valid BC Class 5 driver's license with ability to gain Class 4

Ability to clear a criminal record check working with vulnerable adults
