About the role


Canadian Blood Services is looking for a
Temporary Part-Time Administrative Clerk, Student to join our dynamic
IT, Internal Customer Experience team in
Ottawa.

The work of a Student, Administrative Clerk is integral to Canadian Blood Services' role as Canada's Lifeline.


In this role, you will be working with the IT Coordinator in cleaning up, sorting, and filing important confidential records for the IT Division to prepare them for off-site storage.

Some data entry will be required.

You may also be asked to help clean up office space and office records/equipment to prepare for staff to return to office.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Sorting and filing records in alphabetical order and/or by date.
  • Some data entry will be required.
  • Comfortable taking direction from the IT Coordinator.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Postsecondary education or actively working towards would be considered an asset.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products; outlook, excel and word.
  • Experience operating office equipment; printer and photocopier.
  • Experience with document management would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with data entry would be considered an asset.
  • Must be able to lift and move 50pound file boxes using an office cart.
  • Flexible working hours, 23 days per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:00pm EST.
  • Onsite work location Lancaster Road, Ottawa.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
