Your days will include:
Nutrition program development and implementation across all feed mills
Least cost feed reformulations
Work with the Ingredient Procurement Department and understand current macro and micro ingredient costs and future cost trends to optimize feed formulation and feeding costs.
Determine new ingredient nutrient specifications and amend current nutrient specifications as requiredConduct statistical analysis and summarize data output from HyLife R&D trials
Write and review R&D trial reports and protocols analyses and scientific interpretation
Amend feeding programs as required to optimize pig performance, meat quality and the cost of production.
Liaison with external nutritionists and research centers to understand advancements in nutritional science and apply to HyLife nutritional programs.
Member of production team supporting HyLife's global partnershipsActive participation with nutrition trials at the HyLife Research barns and the Feed Mill which includes establishing trial protocols, statistical analysis and interpretation of nutritional trial data and reporting.
To succeed in this role, you possess:Bachelor's Degree in Science - Animal Nutrition
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Feed and/or Swine industry
Swine production experience
Computer skills
