    About the Opportunity

    We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Analyst to work with our development teams to implement Labbit in our customers' laboratories. In this role, you will be immersed in our customers' domains of genomics, molecular clinical research, and diagnostic spaces as you own the successful delivery of Labbit implementation projects of varying sizes and complexity. The initial focus of this role will be primarily project management; however, the role will evolve into regulatory and scientific analyst work with a longer-term goal of guiding Labbit customers through implementations, regulatory submissions and documentation.
    Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, your areas of responsibility will include: managing project timelines, budget, and overall deliverable quality; project planning, tracking, grooming, and leadership; setting and managing internal and external expectations; and providing accurate and timely project status reports to various stakeholders. Additional opportunities to drive analysis and regulatory work within project implementations will be brought on as your experience grows. While we have core project management systems and process guidelines, you will also have a lot of independence, as the expectation is that you will work to understand the unique requirements and timelines for each implementation and maintenance project and apply the appropriate style or methodology.
    As a Project Manager / Analyst on our customer success team, you bring a holistic, diligent and adaptable approach that ensures you can effectively drive multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to work collaboratively with our technical teams and subject matter experts to enable customers to reach their goals. Because we work in a complex domain, it is essential that you are comfortable asking questions and have a desire to learn and develop your skills and knowledge continuously. Experience working in the domain of genomics, clinical laboratories or health science will be an asset.

    Must Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management or related experience exhibiting strategic end-to-end thinking and project leadership
  • Experience or knowledge in the laboratory domain and specific experience with NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) technologies would also be preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile projects and selecting other project methodologies to fit a project needs
  • Experience working with support-based engagementsProven ability to work in complex business or scientific environments, analyzing and understanding client business requirements, goals and modelling
  • Expert organization and time management skills to enable the prioritization of tasks across multiple projects
  • Clear, concise and professional communication skills and comfortable managing expectations and dynamics with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to own, address and/or appropriately escalate challenges throughout all stages of a project life cycles
  • Biology, Laboratory, or Health Sciences education or experience is desirable
  • Regulatory Environment experience is desirable
  • Technical Writing experience is desirable
  • What to Expect Within the First Month

  • You'll onboard to the team and overall Project Management structure at Semaphore.
  • You'll work with existing Project Manager(s) to take over projects and learn the ins and outs of day-to-day operations and expectations.
  • You'll meet with development team members, finance team members and supporting management structure to understand internal support systems.
  • You'll look to take on their first project for a new platform product customer.
  • You'll be introduced to our current form of project analysis and existing work streams.
  • You'll experience a company stand-up and meet with the team.
  • You'll become familiar with our collaboration tools (Slack, Github, Jira, GSuite, and Confluence) and engaged with our culture and channels.
  • What to Expect Within Three Months

  • You'll take on full ownership of your first project.
  • You'll look at ramping up their second or third projects, depending on platform sales activity.
  • You'll drive internal and external reporting for project status, including budget, timeline, deliverables, etc.
  • You'll work to implement and improve Project Management processes at Semaphore.
  • You'll start to take on learning and understanding our domain.
  • You'll work to start your first Analysis project and drive the discovery of services-based requirements.
  • You'll understand additional aspects of a Laboratory Information System and the value it brings to customers.
  • What to Expect Within Six Months

  • You'll take on full ownership of multiple projects.
  • You'll have full ownership of internal and external reporting for project status, including budget, timeline, deliverables, etc.
  • You'll continue to work to implement and improve Project Management processes at Semaphore.
  • You'll continue domain learning.
  • You'll continue developing and taking ownership in the analysis space.
  • $100,000 - $130,000 a yearThe starting salary within the posted salary range is determined by an assessment of the knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job.
