We are currently looking for enthusiastic, compassionate and mature individuals to serve as FUN CONDUCTORS (Bus Drivers) at our three communities in Kanata and Orleans.

These communities serve seniors needing independent, assisted living and memory care support.

We would like to hire several drivers, to accommodate flexible schedules and desires - very part time/casual, or 27 + hours part time - which includes a good benefit plan.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to safely drive 14 to 18-seat bus to and from planned activities. Assist residents with mobility issues on and off the bus with the use of the lift.

Job Qualifications:

Compassion, Common Sense and Empathy required.
Have a clean driving record.
To obtain your F class license you must:
Be at least 25 years of age
Hold a valid Ontario class G or higher licence or equivalent issued in a province or territory of Canada
Meet medical and vision standards
Have knowledge of bus equipment maintenance and passenger safety and control
Pass an MTO driver examination or obtain a certificate of competence from a recognized authority by passing a vision screening, knowledge test and driving test in a vehicle of appropriate size
Must be able to read write and speak English well
French and other languages are also beneficial.
You must have excellent hearing and vision.

In addition:

You must pass a Vulnerable sector (criminal) background check.
You must be able to work with dogs, cats and other animals.
You must be able to multitask and handle stressful situations with a calm demeanor.
Covid Vaccinated nonnegotiable.

- be at least 25 years old
- hold a valid Ontario licence other than G1, G2, M, M1 or M- pass a vision test
- submit a valid medical report
- pass a knowledge test about operating buses and trucks (Class C only)
- pass a road test using a vehicle that meets the requirements for a Class C or F

Salary:
$20.00 per hour plus benefits at 27 hours per week.

Flexible - days mostly, some evenings and weekends.
