Job Summary
Will primarily be responsible to determining when there is a need for additional help to maintain satisfactory service. This position will inspecting work areas, supplies, ingredients, and cooking equipment to ensure constant conformance to regulatory standards.

This role will also monitoring and overseeing sanitation practices to ensure that employees strictly adhere to the standards and regulations of cleanliness.

The Chef must possess ability to use common kitchen tools safely. and knowledge of the standards and regulations for food preparation.


Job Duties

  • Determining when there is a need for additional help to maintain satisfactory service
  • Inspecting work areas, supplies, ingredients, and cooking equipment to ensure constant conformance to regulatory standards
  • Monitoring and overseeing sanitation practices to ensure that employees strictly adhere to the standards and regulations of cleanliness
  • Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
  • Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
  • Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
  • Ensure proper preparation of all food to be served.
  • Assist head chef with large projects when requested.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen at all times
  • Ensure all stations are set up to ensure smooth work flow.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to use common kitchen tools safely.
  • Knowledge of the standards and regulations for food preparation.
  • Understanding of different culinary techniques and profiles and a desire to learn new techniques and flavours.
  • Ability to work neatly, efficiently, and safely.
  • Attention to detail so dishes remain consistent.
  • Exemplary work ethic in a highpressure environment.
  • Passion and pride for delighting people with food.
  • Food safe is a requirement.
  • Knowledge on how to clean industrial equipment.
  • Slightly modify recipes to meet customers' needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy).
  • Inform wait staff about daily specials.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour
