Karic Sales Ltd, a leading direct to store distribution company of such premium brands as Red Bull, Bio-Steel, Jack Links and PRIME throughout Atlantic Canada is seeking an Accounting Co-Ordinator for a permanent full-time position at their Dartmouth office.


Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for various aspects of the accounting cycle including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivables and other support as needed.

As the Accounting Coordinator, you are responsible for assisting the Director of Finance and other accounting staff with the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices and the conduct of its relationships with the financial community.

You will support the ever-growing sales team to ensure all accounts are maintained in accordance with proper company policy and standards.

Karic Sales Limited sub distributes numerous brands throughout Atlantic Canada on behalf of other distribution companies. As a result, this position will require some evening hours throughout the week.

These evening hours are designed to ensure the sales team are in the best possible position to meet sales targets the following day while ensuring all spoils and damages are removed at the time they are returned to the warehouse.

Since the position requires evening hours we offer a Monday

  • Thursday work week with Fridays off.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


  • Accounts Payable_
  • Process Vendor invoices and match to required back up.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between statements and invoices received
  • Compile monthly government remittances for NB, NS, NL and PEI.
  • Other responsibilities as related to accounts payable

Accounts Receivable_

  • Preparation and reconciliation all of trade bill backs
  • Liaison with corporate vendors to ensure accounts remain in good standing
  • Compile corporate aging reports for senior management as requested.
  • Compile and execute daily bank deposits, monthly credit card remittances and preauthorized debits
  • Generate and distribute monthly account summaries when requested
  • Provide excellent customer service when coordinating with customers.

Other Responsibilities:


  • Evenings are required
  • Provide assistance as needed to support the procurement process.
  • Compilation and posting of all relevant journal entries.
  • Other duties as assigned by key members of the leadership team.
  • Month end and year end support for the Finance team.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Post secondary education Community College Diploma or applicable accounting or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum 24 years experience in a similar role, with a previous concentration in accounts receivables.
  • Previous knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions considered an asset
  • Experience with expense reporting software (Concur) considered an asset.
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks online and mobile route accounting software considered an asset.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment in order to meet deadlines.
  • Strong excel and other MS Office capabilities.
  • Professional and organized, with strong administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and set goals and priorities to assist with meeting deadlines
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to problem solve as required
  • High level of accuracy and analytical skills
