RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
A research assistant is a career researcher who assists a senior researcher.

The duties of a research assistant must involve a substantial degree of intellectual initiative in the execution of his or her duties.

General Duties
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent:

Assists in the planning/organization of research projects,
Recruits patients for research studies,
Obtains consent from patients for participation in research studies,
Interviews patients,
Completes patient questionnaires,
Performs data entry,
Ensures followup of patient information,
Reviews patient charts,
Educates staff about ongoing research projects,
Accomplishes any other related tasks as required by the immediate supervisor,

Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
