Lazer Commerce is a specialized team within Lazer focused on crafting scalable, high-performing commerce experiences across the Shopify ecosystem. We partner with forward-thinking brands and agencies to design and implement custom storefronts, headless architectures, and robust backend integrations. From theme development to complex ERP and OMS workflows, our engineers bring deep expertise in Shopify, modern frameworks, and commerce infrastructure to help clients launch, scale, and optimize their digital retail experiences.

    The Role

We're looking for a Product Manager to help shape, define, and deliver large-scale Shopify commerce experiences for leading brands.

In this role, you'll bridge the gap between strategy, delivery, and technology — translating discovery insights into actionable roadmaps and ensuring every project delivers measurable value.

    Who You Are

    • You have 3+ years of experience in Product Management or similar roles (Business Analyst, Product Owner), ideally within a brand, agency, or consultancy environment.

    • You have a proven track record of delivering large-scale digital commerce projects, including platform migrations from legacy systems like SFCC, Magento, or Hybris to modern SaaS ecosystems.

    • You're deeply familiar with Shopify Plus and the broader commerce technology stack — from ERP and OMS to PIM, CRM, CDP, and payments.

    • You thrive in enterprise stakeholder environments, collaborating confidently with C-suite, product, and engineering teams.

    • You're fluent in agile delivery practices (Scrum, SAFe) and discovery frameworks, with a structured yet flexible mindset.

    • You're an exceptional communicator and facilitator who can bring clarity, alignment, and focus to complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

    • You combine technical literacy (APIs, integrations, architecture fundamentals) with strong commercial acumen, always focused on ROI and client value.

    • You're analytical and detail-oriented, comfortable defining and tracking KPIs that measure success and impact.

    • You're adaptable and thrive in ambiguity — driving clarity, protecting scope, and helping teams deliver meaningful results.

    Bonus Points If You Have:

    • Experience supporting multi-market or international merchants.

    • Familiarity with CRO, experimentation, and analytics tools.

    • Experience building or scaling a product management practice within an agency.

    What You'll Do

    Discovery & Scope Definition

    • Lead client discovery sessions post-sale to understand business goals, customer journeys, and operational processes.

    • Partner with Technical Architects, Solutions Engineers, and Delivery Managers to define clear project scope and alignment.

    • Translate discovery findings into a product vision, measurable objectives, and an agreed scope baseline.

    • Support decision-making around change requests, scope variations, and timeline impacts, balancing commercial, technical, and client needs.

    Backlog & Roadmap Management

    • Build and maintain a structured product backlog — defining epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with clarity and priority.

    • Facilitate trade-off discussions with client and internal teams, ensuring alignment with scope and outcomes.

    • Own the roadmap and prioritization process for migrations, new builds, and optimization projects.

    Collaboration & Execution

    • Work closely with Delivery Managers, Technical Architects, and Engineers to ensure delivery aligns with defined goals.

    • Provide continuous product context during sprints, removing ambiguity and safeguarding scope boundaries.

    • Support UAT and client enablement before and after releases.

    Value Realization & Optimization

    • Focus on KPIs tied to conversion, AOV, retention, scalability, and operational efficiency.

    • Review delivered functionality with clients, recommending iterative improvements while maintaining scope discipline.

    • Act as a strategic product partner, driving growth and long-term value for enterprise Shopify clients.

    Agency & Practice Building

    • Help establish Product Management as a discipline within the agency — building frameworks for discovery, documentation, and delivery.

    • Mentor peers in product-led, scope-driven thinking across teams.

    • Contribute to agency thought leadership, developing case studies and best practices for enterprise commerce.

    What Success Looks Like

    • Discovery and requirements gathering produce clear, aligned, and agreed-upon scopes.

    • Delivery teams operate with clarity and confidence, minimizing scope creep and misalignment.

    • Change requests are transparent and data-driven, with well-communicated trade-offs.

    • Clients experience measurable business impact and trust in our delivery.

    • Product Management becomes a recognized pillar that elevates delivery quality and client success.

    Why Work With Us

    • Accelerate Your Growth: Work across multiple industries and cutting-edge projects with a team that ships fast.

    • Maximum Impact: Shape the future of the tech industry by helping ambitious projects reach their potential.

    • True Ownership: Everyone ships code and has real autonomy with minimal meetings.

    • Continuous Learning: Be part of a team of senior engineers and designers who love learning and knowledge sharing.

Why This Might Not Be For You

    • You Resist Modern Tools: We leverage AI and cutting-edge technology to build rapidly and focus our energy on solving the most complex, high-impact challenges for our clients.

    • You Crave High Structure: We thrive in an autonomous, fast-moving environment, which means you need to be comfortable with some ambiguity.

    • You Prefer Conventional Careers: Our consulting approach involves varied projects and direct client interaction — it's not for everyone.

    • You Like Staying in One Lane: Our projects require adapting to different tech stacks and modern tooling quickly.

    Benefits & Perks

    • Work From Anywhere: Choose your workspace — all you need is strong wifi and a passion for building

    • Work / Life Balance: We believe in our team's ability to have it all; a great career, and time to unplug and live…you

    • Employee Care: We provide full benefits (healthcare, dental, vision) for our employees (401k for our US employees)

    • Unlimited PTO: Everyone needs a break. Take at least 15 days off a year, and more if you need—just be cool about it and keep the team in mind.

    • Regular Team Retreat: Join us for a week of team bonding at amazing destinations. Recent trips include the Dominican Republic, Cancun, and Hawaii — plus ones welcome.
