Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads copyright activities for the Libraries and services as lead copyright and information policy advisor for the University community.
  • Serve as the Libraries' lead representative to coordinate with the University's Office of General Counsel and as the Libraries' expert on questions of copyright and information policy.
  • Monitors national information policy issues, informs and educates the Penn community on their significance and participates in campus efforts to ensure that scholars, students and librarian retain the full benefits of the current and evolving intellectual property regime.
  • Advises on issues of fair use, information policy, and patron privacy, particularly related to collections, access, and information resource contracts.

Qualifications:


  • A J.D. and three years of related experience is required.
  • An additional graduate degree or formal training and/or experience in library and archives is preferred.
