- Ensure prescriptions for dispensing are accurate and comply with corporate and regulatory guidelines
- Supervise and assure quality of pharmacy technicians' work
- Provide patient counseling on new prescriptions and address clinical inquiries
- Guide and mentor new pharmacists and technicians
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor of Science-Pharmacy or PharmD degree
- Familiarity with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and precision
- Proficient in interpreting prescriptions
- Capable of assessing current processes and proposing business workflow enhancements
- Adept at training and motivating team members towards desired outcomes
- Attentive to details with excellent organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable to dynamic work environments
- Quick learner with problem-solving abilities
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Kroll Pharmacy software system is advantageous
- Knowledge of Pharmacy Benefits Management/Managed care industry is a plus
- Availability for flexible schedules during peak workloads
- Valid Ontario pharmacist license is mandatory
- Must be available for scheduled shifts or on-call duties

Additionally, it supervises production levels and service quality related to pharmacy operations.
Express Scripts Pharmacy Ontario is looking for Pharmacists responsible for dispensing and compounding medications while adhering to corporate and regulatory protocols, and sustaining daily production, quality, and service standards.
The ideal candidate must manage work priorities to accommodate business demands, offer oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians, interpret prescriptions from physicians or prescribers, validate controlled substances' authenticity, confirm prescription details in the Kroll Pharmacy software system, train and guide new pharmacists, and provide support to other pharmacists as necessary.
