Are you an experienced payroll administrator with accounting clerk experience looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic, family-owned business? We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our small but busy administration team for an 18 month materninty leave.
To be considered, you must be a certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner or in the process of receiving the PCP designation.
You must also be able to work well with a wide variety of people and have strong attention to detail.
Confidentiality is a must.This position also assists with accounts payable, and acts as backup for the team where needed in areas such as reception and billing.

Duties:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity in the payroll system
- Calculate and process deductions, taxes, and other withholdings
- Prepare and distribute paycheques or direct deposits to employees
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
- Generate payroll reports for management as needed
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Certified Payroll Compliance Practioner or in process of obtaining
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labour laws
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Ability to analyze payroll data and identify discrepancies or trends
- Experience with accounts receivable is a plus
Job Type:
Fixed term contract
Salary:
$62,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
