Finance Team. Please note that this a 14-month Parental Leave Contract opportunity.

  • The Manager, Finance is responsible for analyzing financial and operational information, partnering with various stakeholders to evaluate results, and identifying opportunities and risks. This individual will lead their team to deliver timely and accurate reporting and analysis to drive the productivity and profitability of Warner Music Canada._

Here you'll be able to:


  • Work with senior management and assume the lead role in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts and budgets
  • Manage all updates of forecast models and implement further changes to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis across all revenue/expense categories
  • Create and maintain profitability analysis by configuration and major account
  • Management of expense dashboards in tracking A&R and Marketing costs
  • Review WMG release schedule information and liaison with senior leadership to produce timely and accurate submissions.
  • Review and report on key release sales data and review variances against previous targets
  • Identify and implement process upgrades as part of continuous improvement initiatives including the implementation of new reporting tools
  • Respond to various adhoc requests relating to financial analysis and reporting managing
  • Manage daily and monthly cash forecasting and reporting
  • Generate and report various corporate reports
  • A&R Expenditures & Quarterly Control Questionnaire
  • Produce artist profitability statements
  • Support monthly actuals reporting by generating and approving journal entries and providing support to other team members on their entries
  • Advise payables and receivables on appropriate accounting treatments

It would be music to our ears if you had:

  • Post-secondary education specializing in a quantitative discipline (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math)


  • Professional accounting designation

  • CPA and/or MBA in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) experience
  • Entertainment/Music Industry experience a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting processes and financial statements
  • Experience using SAP/Oracle or large ERP in a similar role
  • Keen business acumen ability to understand qualitative as well as quantitative business issues
  • Strong computer literacy and advanced knowledge of MS Office (emphasis on MS Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to influence while interacting with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated strong leadership ability and a customer service orientation
