OSP offers adults (18+) in Ontario free, short-term, evidence-based cognitive-behavioural therapy and related services for depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions.


What is this role?


The
Clinical Manager, Mental Health Services will support the organization in the operational delivery of our mental health services which includes services contributing to interdisciplinary team care and OSP service delivery.

The Manager will work closely with other the Clinical Director and other team Manager, the Director of OSP and the OSP Clinical Lead to oversee the day to day operations of mental services.

The Manager will work as part of the leadership team to develop and implement program operations, support clinical team members, and work with team members to navigate program-related clinical issues.

The CPM plays an important role within the FHT operations.

The CPM collaborates closely with the Executive Director and the Lead Physician in the design, implementation and evaluation of FHT clinical programs and services.

He/she acts as the direct report of the FHT clinical staff and represents the Executive Director with regards to the day-to-day management of the FHT clinical operation.


Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Executive Director your key responsibilities would include:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the clinical programs and services, in particular, the clinical team who are trained as social workers, psychotherapists and psychologists

This includes:
overseeing the training, scheduling, supervision, delegation of tasks and managing HR issues for clinical staff.

  • Create an empowering work environment for the team that supports knowledge development and integration, and leads change management
  • Recruitment, training and performance management of the team members
  • Work in collaboration with the Executive Director, Clinical Director, OSP Director, OSP Clinical Lead, managers, and other team members to support the implementation of strategic plans, objectives, and programs and services, in particular using your clinical judgement and expertise to navigate matters of a clinical issue to ensure optimal patient/client care and provider experience
  • Work with the OSP team to improve program wait times, monitor clinical quality and lead quality improvement initiatives to improve patient experience.
  • Working with the clinical team members and Clinicial Director, promote leading patient delivery models, and implement best practices related to high quality primary care
  • Act as a point of contact to ensure programs and services meet identified needs staffing, workload, educational needs, and communicating CPH business and initiatives broadly
  • Assists in the development, monitoring, and analysis of continuous quality improvement and clinical initiatives
  • Support the team with their learning and professional development goals
  • Ensure the team has the appropriate skill mix to support the delivery of care programs, including identifying learning and development opportunities for team training
  • Support the evaluation of existing programs and work with the team to identify and implement improvements
  • Support the development and updating of clinical and operational policies and procedures including medical directives
  • Ensures organizational compliance with relevant professional practice standards and other mandatory requirements (i.e., human resources,, College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers), legislation (i.e. PHIPA, ESA, OHSA)
