As a Bar and Function Supervisor, you will contribute to an excellent customer experience in the military messes.
You will organize, supervise and schedule the day-to-day bar activities for the bar staff for big events and the everyday moments.
You will build a rapport with the military community and be part of various military traditions.
The Bar and Function Supervisor will provide administrative support to bar operations and a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set-up and take down of social and military functions.
You will operate a Point of Sales system; prepare reports on cash/inventory transactions such as daily sales reports (DSR) and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.
This is a role where everyone works as one team to provide the best customer experience for our military members and community and contributes in creating a fun and positive workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**High school diploma and several years of experience in beverage sector or a related field
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario (18 years of age)
Smart Serve Certification or equivalent
Food Handling Certification, as required
A valid driver's license (Ontario)
Experience
Providing and supervising hospitality services
Organizing and planning events, banquets and functions
Bar operations
Budget administration
Cash handling
Inventory control
Personnel administration
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg)
Available to work days, evenings and weekends
This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
