In accordance the CUPE 4784 Collective Agreement.

Caretakers are valuable members of the team who provide for a clean, functional and attractive environment in all facilities owned and operated by the Division.
Assignment and Term:
This position is a permanent full-time position of 8 hours per day.
The position commences as soon as possible.
The work schedule will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.
The duties of a Caretaker are to:
Provide general care, upkeep, and maintenance on the school plant, the school grounds and school equipment including but not limited to:
The operation and checks of building mechanic systems.
Minor repairs in and around the school building as required.
Janitorial duties, snow removal, floor refinishing and upkeep of the school and school grounds.
Other duties as assigned by the Principal or Caretaker Coordinator and those listed in Job Description - Facilities:
Caretaker.
Minimum Grade 10 Education or equivalent
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certification.
Level 1 Occupational Health and Safety
A valid driver's license.
Take pride in maintaining a clean and operational facility.
Direct experience in the caretaking field and the ability to work independently and as a team member would be considered an asset.
