Lawson Health Research Institute (Lawson) is the research institute of London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care London.

The Data Analyst will report to the Manager of Research Informatics and will provide support to the Research Informatics team by extracting data from various sources, converting data into a user-friendly report format, and provide interpretation and analysis on the information, as value-add to clients and research stakeholders.

The Data Analyst strategizes and forecasts the departments' needs and puts together plans to ensure smooth program operation.

Analysts may also submit mandatory data to various internal departments and external agency stakeholders, expertise in quality assurance is essential.


Rate of Pay:
$33.64 per hour - $42.05 per hour


Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week


Qualifications:


  • College Diploma in Health Information Management, Business, Computer Systems Technology or Statistics, Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Certificate in Health Information Management preferred
  • 2 years of experience in a Data Analyst role
  • Advanced proficiency in data collection and management
  • Detailed content knowledge and proficiency with associated provincial and/or national healthcare standards and best practices, metadata databases, and reporting systems
  • Proficient time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to prepare and analyze complex reports; optimize existing technology to automate current manual reporting processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness; create complex queries to expose trends within specified indicators
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient relationship management skills
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to client needs in a timely and effective manner and keeps team members informed about issues
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
