The Position:


The
Manager, Mobile (MX) Retail Experience - Consumer Electronics, in conjunction with the Director of Retail Experience, will be responsible for developing and executing the in-store visual merchandising strategy for both
of Samsung's Mobile Experience (MX) division.


The Manager (MX) Retail Experience will be responsible for developing and executing Samsung's visual merchandising strategy and in-store launch plans to support new product introductions that happen throughout the year.

This position plays a critical part in Samsung's go-to-market planning process to ensure that launch day retail readiness KPI's are achieved.

In addition to supporting new product launches, this individual will also drive the development & execution of strategic channel investments and special projects within our Samsung Experience Stores (IE. Shop-in-shop, table display/fixture, fixture retrofits/refresh, POP signage) and be the main point of contact within the organization regarding device demo retail modes, and retail security solutions.


Retail Project Management: 70%

  • Lead the development, execution, and management of all Samsung branded owned/managed fixtures in Canada to support new product launches.
  • Lead channel specific retail investments from design concept to execution instore (Shopinshops, display fixtures)
  • Main point of contact to manage product demo device/mock deployment for launch and PIC to manage questions/inquiries on national display coverage, YoY Benchmarking and launch reporting.
  • Collaborate with marcom to develop an integrated communication plan to deliver a consistent brand and product message for all shops, fixtures, displays and POP
  • Brief and direct agencies & vendors of record to create merchandising POP & display refreshes
  • Liaise with HQ and/or NAHQ to source/acquire retail merchandising materials/assets
  • Serve as primary contact with our national retail and carrier partners in relation to retail merchandising
  • Work with Field Marketing Team to share launch plans and ensure understanding of merchandising solutions
  • Review execution results to ensure deficiencies are remedied quickly and ROI targets are achieved

Financial Management: 30%

  • Estimate scope of work, prepares project budgets (RFQ), create planned proposals (PP), execution orders (EO) and the procurement requirements through BQMS of vendor selection, bid/quote review, contract management and purchase order issue
  • Manage monthly budget forecasting and cheque book accruals

Who we're looking for:


  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of experience in retail
  • Proven record of managing multimilliondollar retail projects with full budget accountability
  • Working knowledge of the consumer electronics industry
  • Ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations using a variety of methods
