Guest Services Associate - the Royal Hotel Chilliwack


Located in historic downtown Chilliwack, the Royal Hotel was established in 1908 and continues to be a desired heritage boutique destination.

We are looking to a hire Front Desk Associate that fits in well with our existing collaborative team environment to provide every guest with a positive and enjoyable experience.


Hotel Front Desk Job Responsibilities:


  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Ascertain guest lodging, purchasing needs.
  • Assists guests and staff in an approachable, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate followup as necessary.
  • Comprehension of all essential aspects of hotel operations.
  • Registers guests and manages the rooming platforms.
  • Collects payments by processing credit cards from customers and through third party vendors.
  • Monitors lobby, breakfast service, and checkout/in activity to determine room flow.
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests quickly and effectively.
  • Provides consistent information and support to guest pre, during and post stay dates.
  • Facilitates correspondence with guests and communicates/assists with requests coordinating with other departments as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with hotel associates and resources as required.

Work Hours & Benefits


Must be willing to work Sundays and Mondays from pm with flexibility to take on extra shifts for coverage within reason.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:


  • High school diploma
  • Prior resort or hotel experience preferred
  • Familiarity with telephone, office, and pointofsale software a plus

Part-time


Salary:
From $18.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Chilliwack, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
