The Role:

To be an integral member of our pastry department
Main assistant to our Pastry Chef.
Full time / Permanent.
8 hour shift with opportunity for overtime if required.
Early mornings.

Day shift

Includes weekends
Vacation pay and Benefits after probation.

Key Responsibilities:

Work along side other kitchen members in executing daytoday duties, such as client company events, wedding buffets, take out lunch boxes, etc.
Be able to produce quality and delicious pastries and desserts in mass quantities.
Create customized cakes as per client requests.
Keep up with what's trending and seasonal desserts.
Maintain a clean and organized work station.
Ensure all product is of the highest quality, and presentation prior to departing the kitchen.
Assist our Pastry Chef in menu planning and taste testing, and be able to give constructive feedback.
Be creative Make something from scratch and have fun

Qualifications:

Experience 1 to 2 years in a similar role or field.
Food Safe certified.
Creative and willing to learn.
Previous experience in Catering is an asset but not required.
