The Opportunity

  • Working collaboratively with our Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to diligently execute the mandate of SLEEGERS' Quality Program with mínimal oversight
  • Performing visual inspection and testing of welded steel pressure vessels and fabricated assemblies for conformance to engineering specifications and PPAP control plans
  • Performing NDE including PT and UT
  • Identifying and isolating defective inbound and inprocess components
  • Liaising with affected personnel regarding inspection results and recommending corrective action
  • Accurately preparing certifying documentation (i.e. certificate of conformance, field evaluation reports, inprocess routing sheets, and repair/alteration reports)
  • Perform welder and process auditing to ensure compliance and proper procedures are maintained
  • Has at least one year of handson weld inspection experience
  • Working knowledge of Section VIII of the ASME Boilers and Pressure Vessel Code is a preferred asset
  • Is an analytical thinker with superior problemsolving skills
  • Is comfortable developing and presenting simple technical reports and data analyses
  • Is detail oriented and can effectively manage competing priorities
  • Has a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a desire to work on a production floor
  • Experience with various quality assurance/process methodologies, including FMEA (DFMEA and PFMEA) and SPC, is considered an asset
  • Postsecondary education in a related quality or engineering field, with previous experience in a manufacturing environment, is preferred
