ABOUT THE ROLE

The Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator with Wastewater Services at the French Creek Pollution Control Centre.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications include, a post-secondary diploma in Water & Wastewater Technology, supplemented with an Environmental Operators Certification Program Class 1, 2 or 3 Certificate in Wastewater Treatment, which includes one to four (1-4) years of acceptable operating experience at a Class II or higher facility, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

POSITION DETAILS
This is a permanent full-time (40 Hours per week) Union Position.

The rate of pay for the position will vary based on the EOCP certification level held; Level I:
$31.47-$33.13, Level II: $34.28-$36.09, Level

III:
$38.69-$40.73 per hour. In addition to the base rate, applicants holding current EOCP Wastewater Collection I-IV or Wastewater Treatment IV certification, will receive a $0.75/hr. premium.
