theScore Bet is currently live in the Company's home province of Ontario. theScore also creates and distributes innovative digital content through its web, social and esports platforms.

About the Work

Edit and publish posts produced by theScore's team of news editors across a variety of sports leagues, including NBA, NFL, MLB, NFL, NCAA football and basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, and MMA
Edit captions for video and thirdparty content to comply with house style
Provide editorial guidance and constructive feedback to news editor
Adhere to theScore's editorial guidelines and policies
Other duties as required

About You

Previous experience as a copy editor and/or writer in a postsecondary or professional newsroom setting
Extensive sports knowledge, particularly regarding to the four major professional sports leagues, as well as NCAA football and basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, and MMA
Flexibility with regards to scheduling and an ability to work nights and weekends
Great attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with social media
Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
Willingness to take on other projects as they come up
Previous experience in sports media preferred but not required
Journalism degree preferred.
