Scope of the PositionThe Warehouse Worker (Receiving) is responsible for receiving vendor products into
the warehouse and picking backorders from received materials. They unload shipments
regularly and inspect incoming shipments to verify contents and quantity. They are also
responsible for any assigned housekeeping tasks and for carrying out any other duties
assigned to them by the Operations Manager.
Major Responsibilities
- Receive vendor products into warehouse.
- Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming product.
- Match product with purchase orders.
- Inspect product to ensure that it is the proper content, quality, and quantity
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Picks backorder from received material.
- Responsible for carrying out assigned housekeeping tasks.
- Responsible for carrying out any other duties assigned by Operations
Skills and Qualifications
- Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalents
- Minimum 12 years warehouse experience
- Comfortable using computer (AS400 system experience would be an asset)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Is able to bend, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good health and physical strength
- Ability to read and write legibly
- Great amount of attention to detail
- Accuracy in following instructions
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Works well in a fastpaced environment

- Shipping & receiving: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (required)
