About the Role

The goal of Autonomous and Precision Agriculture is to produce more crops with less effort, less impact on the environment and to address issues with labor shortages and sustainable growth.

Are you interested in working with a world leader in autonomous and precision agriculture machinery to redefine the future of the agricultural industry?

We are looking for an individual with strong technical skills and with a practical, hands-on approach to solving complex engineering problems.

Responsibilities

Verification and validation of control systems for agricultural mobile machines
Carrying out regression testing to confirm functionality of software updates
Working with partner farm test sites to operate prototype autonomous machinery
Documenting test results including describing shortcomings in details

Qualifications

Ability to learn quickly, with independent research to be able to get things working without much guidance.
Experience with sensors, actuators, hydraulics, and lowvoltage electrical systems.
Ability to work to relatively highlevel objectives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Position will require travel around the Midwest for testing.

Nice to Have

Industry knowledge and experience with agricultural machinery including driving tractors.
Knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and emerging technologies in the field of verification and validation of autonomous systems.
Familiarity with Linux and commandline interfaces
Knowledge and experience with CAN logging and diagnostic tools.
Experience working on machinery or installing test equipment
