The GL Renewal Program is a multi-phased, multi-year program to replace the BMO legacy general ledger systems with a single, common enterprise platform.

The program has high visibility and has cross-bank implications, extending beyond Finance to Operations, Technology, and individual lines of business.


The Manager, Organizational Change Management ("OCM"), oversees the planning and execution of the OCM activities to enable adoption of enterprise general ledger.

The Manager will play a key role in ensuring the GL Program meets its objectives by ensuring the desired employee adoption and usage of new business processes.

The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption of the new business processes, drive & enable proficiencies and minimize resistance.

These improvements will increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.


The incumbent will produce and maintain detailed stakeholder impact assessments to clearly articulate the scope and nature of the change necessary to implement an effective OCM program.

The Manager will develop targeted communication plans, and craft key messages necessary to support awareness, implement and support a holistic training/ super user model that enables adoption of the new General Ledger.

  • Develops change management solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Develops change strategy that enables leaders to promote the change and execute the change; ensures stakeholders to want to make the change.
  • Builds and executes communications plans to drive awareness and understanding, including analyzing audiences, developing key messages and identifying the right channel, frequency and sender.
