    A.Duties & Responsibilities
    SHIPPING
  • Ensure the safe operation of lift trucks in the shipping/receiving area.
  • Pick product for shipments in FIFO order.
  • Ensure that staged shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure that loaded shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure that all Finished Goods are handled, moved and, stored in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration.
  • Ensure that all shortages noted while staging shipments are communicated to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
  • Ensure that all shipping discrepancies are communicated to the Shipping Co-ordinator/Shipping Supervisor, so that the packing slip, and ASN's are accurate.
  • Perform other related duties as instructed by management.
  • CONTAINER MANAGEMENT
  • Inspect, clean, and store returnable containers in designated location
  • Sort the container by customer & container type
  • Verify that the supplier code is correct
  • Remove external Kanbans / Supplier Labels
  • Ensure all curtains are properly secured and in good repair
  • Inspect the inside / outside for debris and damage
  • If damaged beyond repair, document, and inform the Lead Hand or Supervisor who will provide direction
  • If Kanban holder is broken, set aside and replace when time permits.
  • Report any live freight to Lead Hand
  • Perform packaging counts
  • Report shortages and overages to Lead Hand/ Supervisor
  • Maintain 5S Standard in the container breakdown area
  • B.Minimum Qualifications
  • 1 years related experience as a Shipper, Receiver, or Material Handler.
  • Successful completion of lift truck safety course.
  • Secondary school diploma.
  • C.Required Skills
  • Organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.
  • Knowledge of lift truck safety.
  • Forms, Labels, and Tags governing job function.
