Description

Springwater Golf Course is looking for a cook for the 2021 season.

Located 10 minutes North of Barrie off of hwy 26.

Responsibilities and Duties


The position entails cooking all meals, prepping all garnishes, organizing and rotating stock, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen, cooking for tournament functions, and all other duties as assigned/required.


Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Cooking experience is an asset.

No public transportation available.

Springwater Golf Course is located 10 minutes North of Barrie off of hwy 26.


The cook is responsible for:


  • Preparing meals for our customers
  • Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes
  • Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
  • Check food and ingredients for freshness
  • Arrange and garnish dishes
  • Prep and stock garnishes
  • Tournament food preparation (buffet)
  • Maintain accurate inventory
  • Properly store food at proper temperatures
  • Rotate stock/inventory
  • Work well under pressure and within the time limit
  • Ensure that kitchen area, equipment, utensils, and dishes are cleaned and put away
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:


  • Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions
  • Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation
  • Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes
  • Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with cleaning deep fryers, grills, flat top, stove top, oven and all other equipment
  • Able to handle work in a fastpaced environment

Salary:
$16.00 to $22.00/hour


Job Duties:

  • Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Oversee kitchen operations
  • Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
