    Summary This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Immediate Office of the Secretary, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.

    Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Chief of Staff, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Immediate Office of the Secretary to optimize business results and customer experience to:
    Advises the ADS for National Security and the Deputy Director, ONS to help further ONS' goals and objectives. Advises on management policy, operations, and procedures, and recommends changes to meet the Office's requirements.

    Serves as a key advisor to the ONS Deputy Director, on specific office administration and in the efficient application and use of available resources.

    Provides advice and assistance to the office principal leaders and other respective Office managers by developing and reviewing management and program related initiatives to ensure adherence to the methods, principles, and practices of sound organizational management and efficient resources utilization.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing the following: Advising senior officials of organizational goals and objectives to further organizational goals and objectives.

    Providing guidance on management policy, operations, and procedures, and recommends changes to meet the organization's requirements. Serving as a key advisor on specific office administration and in the efficient application and use of available resources. Planning, formulating, and justifying budget of an organization.
