Job Description

Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Team Lead, the Quality Assurance Analyst will:

• Collaborate with Project Teams to assess quality using various methods and tools.
• Produce deliverables as outlined in the Deliverable Assessment Framework.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing, maintain performance testing initiatives, ensure application quality, adhere to government IT policies, and more.
• The role may involve after-hours and weekend overtime work, subject to prior approval.

General Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain performance testing initiatives following best practices
• Complete QA deliverables specified in the Deliverable Assessment Framework within project or maintenance release plans
• Ensure application quality aligns with defined scope, project requirements, and stakeholder meetings
• Adhere to government IT policies, procedures, and security standards
• Regularly communicate with Project/Team Representatives and engage in Quality review sessions
• Stay updated on project direction and context
• Participate in team status meetings and required working group meetings
• Coordinate with IT resources across design, development, and implementation phases of IT Projects/Releases
• Facilitate knowledge transfer among QA team members post-assignment completion
• Create user documentation and procedures
• Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent education and experience)
• Minimum 8 years of testing experience encompassing various types of testing
• Minimum 8 years of quality assurance and system testing best practices experience
• At least 2 years in a QA leadership role
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to commence work in Fredericton by a specified date
• Readiness to begin work around the specified date

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

• 6+ years of security experience in data confidentiality, database, and application design
• 6+ years of proficiency in tools like JMeter and understanding of Quality Assurance frameworks
• Advanced SQL experience in a QA environment
• Familiarity with project methodologies including Waterfall, Waterscrum, Agile, and others
• Experience with tools such as HP Quality Center, HP WebInspect, SOAPUI, etc.
• Knowledge of Health Care and Electronic Health Records within a Canadian setting
