tenure-track Assistant or if applicable, Associate Professor position in
public management at the
School of Political Studies, University of Ottawa.
Duties
- Research activities and refereed publications
- Teaching courses in public administration at the undergaduate and graduate levels
- Supervision of graduate students
- Commitment to participating in the educational and administrative activities of the unit and the Faculty
- Performing any other activity provided for in the collective agreement
Required skills
- PhD in public management, public policy or a related field
- Demonstrated capacity to teach courses in public management upon hiring
- Demonstrated capacity to teach in English upon hiring
- Quality of the teaching dossier
- Quality of the record of publications and the research program
Bilingualism:
The University of Ottawa is proud of its more than 160-year tradition of bilingualism. All faculty members in the Faculty of Social Sciences must demonstrate active bilingualism before being granted tenure. The working language at the School of Political Studies is French.
Through its Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute, the University provides training to staff members and to their spouses in their second official language.

Salary scale for an Assistant Professor starts at $89,622 (as of May 1, 2023).
