    Chief Power Engineer (Contract 6 -12 months)


    We are looking for a highly motivated Chief Power Engineer (Contract) to join our Operations team supporting Bow Valley Square.

    Report directly to the Manager, Operations, you will lead your team to ensure optimal operations of HVAC, all base building systems, and accessory equipment.

    Through inspiring leadership and strong team focus, overall responsibility encompasses operations and administration of the building operations team, maintenance and upkeep of building equipment to ensure optimal comfort of guests and tenants.


    Promotion of safe work at all times, with focus on internal EH&S/OH&S policies and maintenance of MSDS sheets and Hazard Assessment.

    Developing and monitoring the mechanical, electrical and safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable codes and Oxford policies.


    Development and implementation of operational control strategies to ensure effective and sustainable building operations are maintained with a focus on energy and water cost saving initiatives .

    Assisting the Operations Manager with Quarterly reforecasting of HVAC accounts and ensure work is performed to forecast and budget.


    Supervision of the day to day duties of the Building Operators within the Operations department, with focus on water treatment and preventative maintenance while ensuring the integrity of the base building systems is maintained.

    Working with contractors and vendors ensuring that all works performed and goods received meet specifications and building standards.

    Procurement of budgeted costs for tenant or base building mechanical and electrical upgrades as required or requested.

    Reviewing and providing input on tenant construction drawings, monitor progress periodically ensuring work performed meets Oxford and base building EH&S/OH&S policies and standards as well as industry standards.

    Have a minimum of 7 years experience working in a high-rise office tower in an operational capacity

    Thoroughly understand building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and operating life safety systems

    Are competent in use of Outlook, Excel, and Word

    Have completed Building Automation system training/certification

    WHMIS, OHS, and First Aid Certification would be an asset
