This role will report to our Head of Finance & Operations. This person will be the first dedicated legal hire for Novisto and will be key in developing and owning legal procedures. Your responsibilities will include

Providing legal advice and guidance to the company on various legal matters, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, privacy, and data security, and identifying
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements, such as software licensing agreements, service agreements, partnership documents & supplier agreements
Contributing to the development and the implementation of companywide policies and processes to improve compliance with laws and privacy requirements
Working with company management on strategic initiatives
Contributing to managing and resolving legal disputes, including litigation and arbitration

What we're looking for

Law degree from reputable University;
24 years experience at a Law firm, Technology or Business Services Company;
Familiarity with vendor agreements, partnership contracts, and/or employment law
A hardworking, ambitious individual interested in being implicated in many areas of the business;
Excellent verbal and communication skills (Bilingualism French and English);
Quebec or Ontario Bar preferred;
