Job description
We're looking for an in-house Video Editor to join a small, hands-on production setup downtown Toronto.This role is post-production led, but with a strong digital mindset - someone who not only delivers great edits, but understands how content performs online.
Primary focus:
full post-production
Your main responsibility will be video editing in DaVinci Resolve, covering the complete post-production workflow: editing, colour grading, mastering, and delivery for web and social platforms - expected to deliver clean, well-structured edits efficiently and consistently.
Secondary focus:
digital marketing & content performance
A significant part of the role involves ensuring content actually reaches and performs with the right audience
This includes:
Basic SEO optimisation of video and blog content
Structuring titles, descriptions and metadata for YouTube
Running and improving LinkedIn and YouTube channels
Monitoring content performance and engagement
Testing formats and refining content strategy
Tracking and reviewing lead generation from published content
The goal is to continuously improve both creative output and measurable results.
Optional on-site filming
There is the opportunity to take part in on-site filming depending on your interest and experience. This could include helping as camera assistant, gaffer, or general production support. The on-set role is optional and can be shaped around your wishes.
Who this role is for
You have 2-5 years of experience in corporate video production and identify as an editor first. A flair for new technology, AI tools, and digital workflows is a clear plus. You're comfortable taking ownership, working independently, and thinking beyond just the edit, with content performance in mind.
Practical details
The role is 20–30 hours per week to start and is primarily on-site downtown Toronto. The setup is flexible and allows room for side projects alongside the role.
