Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to provide in-home care for an elderly family member. The successful candidate will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and provide companionship to ensure a safe and comfortable home environment.
Duties
- Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Administer medications as directed
- Perform light housekeeping duties (laundry, cleaning, tidying)
- Accompany to medical appointments
- Monitor and report changes in health condition
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Maintain a safe and healthy home environment
Employment Requirements
- Secondary school completion required
- Completion of a caregiver training program OR
- At least 1 year of related caregiving experience
- First Aid and CPR certification (asset)
- Ability to communicate in English
- Criminal record check required
