About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Manager Budgets with matrix reporting to Manager Compensation and Benefits, the Budget OM Analyst position plays an integral role within finance and with the OM team to support an aligned coordination in management of resourcing, specifically complement control, budgeted FTEs and organizational design.

The Analyst will develop, coordinate, implement and monitor workflow associated with organizational structure management activities and related processes, ensuring that all transactions impacting positions and organizational units are accounted for.

This will include making recommendations related to the ongoing development of comprehensive, standardized processes, practices, as well as quality improvement and system/training needs with the aim of enabling, efficient and sustainable delivery of services and programs.

The Analyst will work in collaboration with Finance and Compensation and Benefits teams, managers and other key stakeholders to ensure high quality service.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of a recognized post-secondary business and/or accounting program
  • Enrolment or completion of accounting designation considered an asset
  • Minimum 3 years strong management and/or functional system experience and knowledge of budget and Successfactors/SAP business enterprise information systems and with experience in organizational management (OM).
  • Understanding of Nova Scotia Health OM, Recruitment, and Budget practices preferred
  • Understanding of ERP systems used in OM, Recruitment and Budget (SAP, MAP, Budman) preferred
  • Experience with report creation and data visualization (i.e. Tableau, Tableau prep, Excel, Power Query)
  • Experience identifying root causes of issues
  • Experience recommending internal control and process improvements
  • Experience mapping process flows using Visio (or similar software)
  • Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills
  • Highly knowledgeable of SAP functionality and technical aspects
  • Experience in engaging, mentoring and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
