Position overview and requirements:

The Data and Performance Management Analyst provides direct support to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) as a strategic performance partner, through the development and coordination of corporate dashboards, performance measurement systems, and tracking and coordination of strategic initiatives and CAO-led priorities. This role is responsible for gathering, organizing, and reporting data across all departments to improve decision-making and ensure alignment with corporate priorities. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Analyst provides high-level executive coordination, including proactive follow-up on strategic priorities, briefing support, and portfolio oversight, enabling the CAO to focus on strategic leadership and long-term planning. The analyst works across departments to strengthen corporate performance management practices and alignment with Council priorities.

This position plays a vital role in strengthening the corporation's use of data, improving operational oversight, and enhancing corporate accountability and transparency. It also ensures that accurate, timely information and coordinated follow-through are in place to optimize the CAO's strategic capacity.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Public Administration, Business Analysis, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in performance measurement, data analysis, executive coordination, or municipal administration.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and other reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information and present it clearly to various audiences.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • In-depth ability to articulate complex thoughts and effectively communicate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner that translate numbers into business results and strategies that achieves intended objectives.
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Experience working with strategic plans, KPIs, and dashboard tools in a public sector environment considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with software evaluation and implementation best practices.

Language requirements:

Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in both French and English.

Compensation:

The salary, based on 35 hours a week, is between $76, 113 and $94, 932 per year and includes an excellent benefit package, a pension plan, as well as free access to the Sports Dome Training Centre.
