    With 6 offices across British Columbia and significant growth over the past couple of years, it is time to add a progressive team focused HR Director to their team to lead People & Culture initiatives across the province. With a home base in Surrey, BC and the ability to travel to Prince Rupert, Smithers, Terrace and other locations, the successful candidate will lead the way in the creation, communication and implementation of best-in-class foundational HR programs and organizational development processes and services. As a member of the senior management team and accountable to the management committee and HR Partner, the successful candidate will be innovative in their approach; making impactful contributions towards fostering a positive productive work environment that leaves employees feeling engaged, empowered and equipped for success. Successfully mentoring a highly motivated HR Coordinator, prioritizing campus recruitment campaigns, ongoing attraction, engagement and development of talent within the firm as well as the development and execution of a People and Culture Strategy will be key to the success of this role.

    Additional Responsibilities Include:

    • Develop an overarching total compensation strategy and talent acquisition strategy;
    • Lead cultural practices that support the vision and values of the Company;
    • Provide expertise and create programs/documentation/execute in the areas of performance management, employee engagement, organizational development, HR compliance, policy and procedure development, goal setting, ongoing feedback, reward and recognition, and others as identified;
    • Establish and evaluate key HR metrics and budgets to analyze, report and identify trends, with accompanying improvement recommendations;
    • Liaise and partner with an external HR Firm to collaborate on the delivery of training sessions on key people and culture best practices as required;
    • Ensure cyclical processes and programs are established, value propositions of such programs are identified and communicated, leaders are trained in the successful execution and people across the firm are supported;
    • Creation and execution of exceptional onboarding practices;
    • Identify and address challenges that arise that affect the overall health of the organization including morale, staff turnover, absenteeism and productivity;
    • Research relevant new developments within the Human Resource field and implement changes where necessary;
    • Ensure the compliance of all legislative labour and safety requirements;
    • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key business partners, employees and community members.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in an associated HR field, CPHR designation is preferred;
    • Previous experience working in a professional services sector is required;
    • Progressive work experience in Human Resources;
    • Knowledge of current legislation related to employment as well as current HR theories and practices including recruitment, policy and performance management;
    • Ability to create and execute programs as outlined above;
    • Demonstrated ability to meet strategic HR objectives for the organization;
    • Proven management of HR core processes;
    • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS suite;
    • Ability to create positive momentum for change.

    This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated HR Manager to leverage their current skills and experience and move to a Director role to make a significant difference in a growing and progressive firm. A competitive total compensation package is offered; we anticipate offering the successful candidate a base salary of approximately $120,000 to $130,000 dependent upon previous experience and organizational success.
