Heavy Equipment Lube Technician - Atlantic Road Construction & Paving


Requirements:


  • Education in Heavy Duty Equipment or 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid drivers license, and clean drivers abstract.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to complete maintenance when equipment is not in use.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to safely maneuver equipment when required.
  • Solid understanding of construction operations and maintenance techniques.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to keep yourself on task & schedule.
  • Possess a positive attitude and the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Reliable & trustworthy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Service machines as per the schedule or as assigned by supervisor.
  • Take oil sample from machine being serviced.
  • Grease all machines and top up DEF for all equipment present on the worksite.
  • Replace any damaged or seized grease fittings as needed.
  • Ensure worksite is clean, free of debris & fluids caused by repairs when leaving.
  • Complete service report noting what work was done & any major issues in need of repair.
  • Keep work vehicle in clean & tidy condition free of garbage.
  • Stock truck with equipment and supplies required to perform assigned work.
  • Ensure proper parts & supply inventory are kept in stock.
  • Notify manager if any supplies need to be ordered.
  • Communicate any unsafe conditions or accident/injuries immediately to the supervisor.
  • Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.
  • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulation, and compliance.
  • Other duties as required
