The Role

As Operations & Member Relations Manager, you'll work closely with the Executive Director to translate strategy into action across operations, membership, and programs. You'll serve as a central connector between staff, volunteers, committees, and industry stakeholders while helping to deliver initiatives that strengthen engagement and grow our community.

This role blends operational leadership with relationship-building — ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and motivated by bringing people together for a common purpose.

Responsibilities

Operations & Organizational Coordination

  • Support execution of BOMA Calgary's strategic priorities and day-to-day operations
  • Coordinate across staff, committees, and volunteers to keep initiatives moving forward
  • Improve internal processes and systems to enhance efficiency and service delivery
  • Support membership renewals and key operational platforms (AMS, collaboration tools, program portals)

Member Relations & Engagement

  • Lead member onboarding, lifecycle tracking, and engagement initiatives
  • Partner with the Membership Committee to support retention and growth strategies
  • Build strong relationships with members, partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Analyze member feedback and identify opportunities to strengthen the value of membership

Programs & Industry Initiatives

  • Coordinate the BOMA mentorship program and serve as liaison to mentors and participants
  • Support delivery of the Awards program and collaborate with national counterparts
  • Work with internal teams to align communications, partnerships, and engagement opportunities

What You Bring

We're looking for a professional who combines experience with initiative, and a strong service mindset.

Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in operations, membership, program management, or association/non-profit leadership
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into operational plans and execution
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management and communication skills
  • Experience working with committees, volunteers, or governance structures
  • Comfort using CRM/AMS systems, reporting tools, and collaboration platforms
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
