This is an interview position GENERAL SUMMARY To service delinquent credit accounts through telephone and personal customer contact in order to protect receivables and minimize bad debt expense.

- FedEx Express Canada is seeking a Full-Time Bilingual Accounts Agent-Collect located in Mississauga, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
- Initiates and receives telephone calls to/from customers and corresponds in writing when necessary regarding past due accounts to facilitate customer payments, and monitors accounts accordingly
- Receives and handles incoming calls from customers regarding credit on past due accounts. Diplomatically works with irate customers to ensure mutual satisfaction is achieved
- Maintains accurate call history records on accounts concerning reconciliation and all collection activities, credit decisions and customer commitments, updating appropriate screens
- Assists external customers and internal FedEx departments with credit and collection matters concurrent with all FedEx corporate policies and procedures
- Assists in customer bid/contract process in conjunction with the sales and credit departments, through problem resolution and commitments, to help increase incremental revenues and place powership equipment; monitors security deposit, high risk and waiver accounts. Authorizes credits within policy guidelines.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A College Diploma (Business Administration Preferred)
Minimum TWO (2) years commercial collections experience, preferably in telephone collections:
Must be bilingual (English and French):- Thorough knowledge of Federal and Provincial consumer affairs and privacy regulations preferred
- Strong negotiation skills
- Selfmotivated, able to organize and prioritize large amounts of data
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills
