Duties and Responsibilities:While duties vary by assignment, the responsibilities of this role may include, but are not limited to:
Protecting people, property, and information

Conducting on-foot perimeter and search patrols (indoors and outdoors)

Monitoring and responding to alarm and security systems

Ensuring the health and safety of self and others in the workplace

Adhering to CGL's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, systems, and practices (and those of the clients we serve)

Respecting CGL employment and workplace policies, site work Instructions, and site supervisor's direction

Other functions may include patrolling, reception/administration, reporting, emergency management and access control.

Eligibility Requirements:

MUST PASS AN RCMP BACKGROUND CHECK FOR SECURITY CLEARANCE.
MUST BE A CANADIAN CITIZEN, AND LIVED IN CANADA FOR 10 YEARS.
PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO CANADIAN ARMED FORCES VETERANS.
Must have High School School Diploma.
Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
Strong understanding of computers.
Excellent report writing skills.
Customer service/reception/administrative skills.
The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential.
Conflict Management and Deescalation skills.
Strong security presence.
Must be able to work a 12hour night shift (2000 to 0800)

Required Education, Qualifications and Experience:

Must have a secondary school diploma

Valid Ontario Security Guard License

Valid First Aid and CPR certificate

The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential

Effective customer services/reception/administrative skills

Good understanding of computers
